Weight Loss Programs
Supplemented Fasting Program:
A protein diet for those who have 50 lbs.
or more to lose. The diet consists of nutritional supplement shakes
which provide between 100% and 150% of all the recommended vitamins,
minerals, protein, and carbohydrates. The diet supplies 500-800 calories
per day and results in rapid weight loss. A pre-entry medical history
and a physical exam are required to determine appropriateness for this
program. Patients are monitored weekly by our bariatric medical staff.
Lab work is required bi-weekly to insure safety, compliance, and to
monitor any pre-existing conditions should they exist. Vitals and weight
charted weekly. Supplements dispensed weekly. A comprehensive maintenance
program is available once the plan is completed since maintaining a new
weight can be more challenging than the weight loss itself.
Modified Supplemented Fasting Program:
A combination plan which offers the accelerated loss of the above
program with the flexibility of eating one (1) meal per day in addition
to the shakes. Food is self-selected and purchased in grocery stores
with the flexibility of eating out. The diet provides 800-1200 calories
per day.
Prescription and Food Program: A non-addictive treatment for
weight loss utilizing medication such as
Meridia,
Xenical,
Bontril and
Phentermine
and everyday foods. We also offer our own line of
natural diet products that suppresses appetite and increases metabolism.
Effective for those who have (20) twenty or more pounds to lose and for
those with large appetites and food cravings. A pre-entry medical exam
including labs and an EKG as well as a physical exam are required to
determine appropriateness for this program. Patients are monitored
bi-weekly to monthly by our bariatric medical staff. Vitals and weight
are charted during each medical visit. Each meal plan is self-selected
and consists of everyday foods. Patients receive behavior, cognitive,
and educational information. Each patient is provided individual
counseling. During this time, extensive information and support with
issues relating to nutrition, exercise, psychology, self image, stress,
behavior patterns, habits, etc..., will be discussed. This information
and support will be vital during the weight loss and maintenance
process. Medication prescriptions are provided monthly after medical
visits. A comprehensive maintenance program is available once the plan
is completed since maintaining a new weight can be more challenging than
the weight loss itself.
